April 16-19, 2019. The Convention Center Steering Committee will integrate public and stakeholder feedback gathered during these three days in consideration for the future Convention Center expansion.
An expanded convention center will be a new anchor in the cultural life of Bloomington, put us on the map as a national destination, and boost our local and regional economy. With the changed dynamics that I-69 brings, this project will ensure that we will protect the vitality of our downtown and enhance, compliment and support our existing amenities. The heart of our vibrant downtown is both where convention visitors want to be and where it is in the best interest of our community for them to be.
