Parking Update

The Desman Parking Study is complete. Thank you for your input! Click here to view the report.

The report includes:

  • a summary of the data and information gathered to this point, including the results of the stakeholder meetings and online public survey

  • a highlight of existing issues that have been identified by DESMAN

  • a summary of their understanding of the short- and long-term development landscape in downtown Bloomington

  • a plan and proposed timeline for completing the remainder of the study. 

Unified Development Ordinance Update

The City of Bloomington is updating the Unified Development Ordinance (UDO) to reflect the recommendations of the new Comprehensive Plan, while improving the overall usability and clarity of the ordinance. This project is scheduled to take place between February 2018 and February 2019. There will be multiple opportunities for  public engagement throughout the process.

Transportation Plan Update

The City of Bloomington is working with consulting firm Toole Design Group to develop a multimodal transportation plan. The plan will be used to help prioritize transportation projects, to determine right-of-way widths, and to shape transportation in our community for years to come.
